Celebrating the popularity and longevity of one of the most recognizable and venerable designs in handguns, Dragon Leatherworks is please to offer the Talon, a holster originally designed with the 1911 in mind, then expanded to include a wide variety of compact through full size semi-auto pistols by Sig, S&W, Springfield Armory, Glock, Para Ordnance, CZ, Taurus, and many others.
Naturally, I've retained the classic Dragon Leatherworks tradition of being "overbuilt," designing the Talon specifically to make OWB (on the waistband) an easily concealable method, while retaining good looks and an eye-catching sillhouette for those who wish to OC (open carry) their sidearm using either a Strong-Side draw, or Cross-Draw.
I approached the design of the Talon from the ground up, asking 1911 owners for input on what they felt were the key aspects of a solid 1911 holster. I took the suggestions, tried a few designs, and the result is a holster that is as tough as it is good-looking.
Talon Holsters now available to accomodate Crimson Trace Laser Systems!

I simply love the Crimson Trace products so much, I wanted to start making Talon versions to accomodate the Laserguard® line of targeting aids. To that end, we're pleased to announce that we now fit our signature Talon line of holsters to the Laserguard® to certain Glock and Springfield XD/XDm handguns. We've also improved the design of our regular Talon offerings, with a scallop and curve to the top leather panel, so that all standard Talons can now accomodate the Crimson Trace Lasergrip®
For Glocks, we can fit the Talon to the following models equipped with the Laserguard® LG-436
Gen 2 / Gen 3 models 19/23/26/27/32/33/36/39
Gen 4 models 19/23/26/27
For Springfield XD/XDm, we can fit the Talon to all models equipped with the Laserguard® LG-448 in all sizes and calibers, with the exception of Gen 1 models with single-notch rails.
Standard Talons will now fit any pistols equipped with Crimson Trace Lasergrip®
Vicious Circle Logo now available on Quantum Holsters!
To get the Vicious Circle Commemorative Logo embossed on either the Talon, simply select it from the drop-down list of Exotic Skin Options. It can be added to a holster for just an extra $5 to the cost of the holster!
Features
- The pancake design hugs close to the body while the combat cut body sheild allows for excellent grip and draw of the firearm should it be neccessry.
- Molded to your specific firearm for a snug and secure fit.
- Belt slots standard, Yaqui-style belt tunnels available.
- Available with or without body sheild.
- Allows for the proper placement (on the hip) so as to have the most efficient and fastest draw possible.
Custom Designs
When you place an order for a Talon, you'll have a few choices. Body shield or without? Standard belt slots or a Yaqui-style belt tunnel? If you'd like an exotic skin featured on your Talon, you'll get to pick a color for the diamond shape trim.

Be aware that the Talon is built for is a standard leather dress belt, 1.5" wide and 1/8" thick. If you intend to use the holster with a gun belt, please make the proper selection below!
